Through masseter injections, you have the option of actively slimming down your jawline with the help of Neurotoxins. The masseter is a large muscle that is located in the side of our face and goes down to our jaws. Typically, the masseter muscle tapers down in a V-shape from our face towards our jaw, making us look youthful and beautiful. But sometimes, hereditary factors can result in an enlarged masseter muscle. Additionally, excessive grinding or clenching of the teeth can lead to an overuse of the masseter muscle, making it bigger in size.

A neurotoxin such as Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, or Xeomin is used to prevent the swelling of your masseter muscle by temporarily reducing activity in the jaw region. They work by temporarily stopping neural signals from reaching the procedure site and preventing excessive movement. When you receive the masseter injection, the neurotoxin immobilizes the muscles temporarily.

As the jaw region experiences fewer neural messages, you will notice:

  • Fewer instances of teeth grinding/clenching
  • Less swelling in the masseter muscle
  • The improved contour of your jawline and facial structure
  • Reduced chances of jaw pain (due to less clenching of the jaw)
